I have filtered the applications for one particular status i.e. applied, but others are showing up, why?

This is because this filter works to show all the job listings that have at least one application with the selected status associated with it. This means that if that job listing also has applications with the other statuses, they will also be visible. A job listing is only removed if it doesn’t have any applications of the chosen status.
